This would be nice, wouldnt it? Getting made with minimum effort. We dont really know if we've got a 'niche' music genre or what- in fact: we dont give a shit.... oooooh! This is not the Hicksian 'Indignation Dollar' you might think it is. We will get through life... just about. It isn't about spoils, money and women. Those are all attainable through other, more odious channels- think KARMA, its all about sustainability for your lifestyle- and all we live for is playing in front of, more often than not, a bunch of artless fucks. All we want is for someone to come up to us and say 'You, are so much better than you think you are' all so I can then say 'And what the fuck do you know?!'.. My dream. Don't get me wrong, we've all got trumpets and we all blow them in our own way. But there is no point in doing this unless people can rock to our music as hard as we do ourselves, and we're experienced and savvy enough to see and know that this is an opportunity to get ourselves across better than ever before, so we're taking it. We haven't toured, we've played with maybe 2 bands that anyone might have heard of (Gutworm? Alternative CarPark? anyone??? no?!) so this bio is a comparatively lack lustre affair compared to others. If you're looking for comparisons... stop there. Influences are as good as your getting- right now I'm thinking of Tool, Faith No More, Mastodon, Fu Manchu, Machine Head and Oceansize. I know, as do my compatriots, that self assurance is a dangerous game but if you have any self belief- you play this game with abandon. And hence comes this brash statement:
We will be in your face one day. Trust us.

Maiea are an amalgamation of Metal, Post-Rock and Grunge. Taking key influence from bands such as Soundgarden, Tool, Pearl Jam, One Minute Silence, Orange Goblin and Faith No More. They write music that will take you gently from swooping melodic lines and understated guitars and build up to a climax of power and aggression. Their recently recorded debut single, Purple Eyed Lies, has impressed and astounded all that have heard it. Maiea live for the live experience- they have utter confidence in their music which is very apparent in the explosive live shows they have played so far.
